Thanks to all the amazing Teachers and Youth Workers and most of all the fantastic Students of Abbeydorney NS for inviting us to take part in “The Youth Voice Project” Initiative.
The gang created their very own “StemWizz Army Tank” by creating a wooden frame, next they created a running belt system for the tank tracks by using gears, wheels, elastic bands and a motor. Finally they wired the motor to the battery box.
This project teaches young people about Kinetic Energy, Gears, Motors and Belts. The Tank operates when the motor is used to convert electrical energy from the battery box into kinetic energy which is then transmitted through the belts, so that the four wheels turn simultaneously to drive the tank forward.
