Not every young person wants to spend their weekends playing football, hurling, rugby or other sports. Some prefer building things, figuring out how they work, experimenting, inventing or getting creative.
That’s where StemWizz comes in! Our projects offer a fantastic alternative, helping young people discover new interests and build confidence. In a world of gaming consoles, tablets and phones, they also offer something valuable: fun away from screens!
There’s something special about a dad and son sitting down together to build a project. Whether it’s a working tractor, robot, hydraulic JCB or electrical circuit, it’s a fantastic chance to spend quality time together.
A little teamwork, problem-solving, plenty of laughs and maybe even a friendly disagreement over the instructions! And it’s not just dads and sons: mums, daughters, grandparents and the whole family can join in.
Less screen time, more family time and a real sense of achievement!
Our Young Guys STEM Boxes, suitable from age 6+, are a fantastic introduction to STEM. With projects including fans, colourful LED lamps, robots and electrical circuits, younger builders can enjoy creating something that actually works.
As young people grow, our range grows with them, offering more challenging projects involving gears, motors, electronics, hydraulics and renewable energy.
One of the things we’re particularly proud of at StemWizz is the success we’ve had working with young people on the autism spectrum and with additional learning needs.
Through our work with special schools, mainstream schools and youth initiatives throughout Ireland, we’ve seen how hands-on STEM activities can provide wonderful opportunities for engagement, creativity and achievement.
Many projects feature practical step-by-step assembly, visual instructions and rewarding outcomes that can appeal to young people who enjoy structured hands-on activities. Every young person is different, so families and educators can choose projects suited to individual interests, abilities and preferences.
There’s nothing quite like seeing the smile when a young person says, “I built that myself!”
Create your very own StemWizz birthday party at home! Choose a selection of STEM projects to suit the ages and interests of your guests, get everyone around the table and let the building begin.
Imagine a room full of excited young people creating robots, working vehicles, colourful lamps and other inventions. They can work together, help one another and show off their finished creations.
Best of all, every guest can bring home the project they’ve built! It’s a birthday activity, learning experience and party favour all rolled into one.
We believe quality STEM education should be affordable and accessible. Our projects combine fun with genuine educational value, introducing science, technology, engineering and maths without making learning feel like schoolwork.
They develop practical skills, encourage independent thinking and show young people how everyday technology works. With affordable individual projects and great-value boxes, you don’t need to spend a fortune on a meaningful present.
A gift that entertains, educates and inspires. Now that’s money well spent!
