The StemWizz Green and Alternative Energy Box 9-12 Years
- StemWizz Sound Recorder: Young people learn how sound waves work and how a voice recorder uses a hard magnetic material as a carrier and uses the remanent magnetic properties of the magnetic material to record the sound signal on the carrier.
- StemWizz Infrared Door: Young people learn the concepts of infrared technology. Infrared presence detectors sense any moving object even objects that we cannot see. Since the primary source of infrared radiation is heat or thermal radiation, any object which has a temperature radiates in the infrared. Even objects that we think would be far too cold like ice emits infrared. The higher the temperature of the object the more infrared radiation it emits. This project also explores gears and electrical circuit concepts
- StemWizz Hand Crank Generator: Young people learn about green energy along with energy conversion, using mechanical energy and turning it into electrical energy by cranking gears through a transmission system which powers the generator and lights the bulb.
- StemWizz Electromagnetic Swing: Young people learn about magnetic and electrical circuit concepts and when combined create an electromagnetic swing. Electromagnetism is the physical interaction among electric charges, magnetic moments, and the electromagnetic field. Here we learn about Ampere’s Law which allows us to bridge the gap between electricity and magnetism; that is, it provides us with a mathematical relation between magnetic fields and electric currents. The electromagnetic field can be static, slowly changing, or form waves.
